Guest: Senator the Hon. Mark Arbib, Federal Minister for Small Business
Keynote speaker: Christina Singh, Sensis
Start your day with a little inspiration (and bacon) and meet the newly appointed Federal Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer, The Honorable Mark Arbib.
The Blacktown Business Breakfast, at Blacktown RSL Club, 2nd February 2012, 7am-9am, is the perfect opportunity to kick start your business and your day with other like-minded small business owners, and meet Senator Arbib, fellow MPs Ed Husic (Federal Member for Chifley) and Michelle Rowland (Member for Greenway), and author of the Sensis® Business Index, Christena Singh.
Appointed to the roles of Federal Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer in December 2011, Mark Arbib is known for his co-ordination of the $42 billion Nation Building Economic Stimulus Package, the Labor Government’s primary response to supporting jobs during the global recession. As such he is well placed to offer assistance to small business owners during difficult economic times.
The keynote speech Going for Growth – Economic Challenges and Opportunities for Australia’s Small Businesses in 2012 is to be given by guest speaker Christena Singh. Author of the Sensis® Business Index, Christina takes a look at where the global and Australian economies went in 2011 and the challenges and opportunities for growing your business in the year ahead. The speech will examine the key issues that are currently keeping small business operators up at night, and how businesses are planning to grow despite economic challenges.
After spending over a decade working for the Federal Government on a range of policy issues, most notably small business, Christina joined Sensis and authored the Business Index and Sensis e-Business Report. She is passionate about the importance of small business, and its integral role as part of Australia’s economic and social fabric.
